Bias

A component that adds a constant bias (offset) to the input signal.

Description

The Bias block adds a constant offset to input u. The output y is defined as: y = u + bias.

Variables

  • u(t): Input signal
  • y(t): Output signal (u plus bias)
  • bias: Parameter - the constant value added to the input

Examples

  • u = 5, bias = 2 → y = 7
  • u = -3, bias = 1.5 → y = -1.5
  • u = 0, bias = -4 → y = -4
